The 1972 Group exists to strengthen the network of Black elected officials by fostering meaningful relationships, encouraging collaboration, and creating opportunities for leadership development. Inspired by the historic legacy of 1972—a pivotal year for Black political leadership in Indiana—we are committed to building on that foundation by connecting today's leaders and preparing tomorrow's.
